i had fun and quality time with my boys today. kor kor ian, who normally closes the book before I could even finish the 1st page showed some interests in books today. Nathan showed lots of excitement when I showed him the bath time softbook, he makes lots of noise, smiling and kicking, so cute! the 2 boys sat side by side, ian opened up his tiny board book, saying out loud to me 'fish', 'dog', 'pink', 'blue', 'low' (yellow), 'frog'...etc. i'm so happy! coz they show interest!

i bought a few books online for ian recently. read the mother of 6's blog again and she mentioned about this author, sandra boynton, that her daughter likes the book a lot and even herself. i bought the bedtime stories board book from that author, and many others of the same author...and she's right, i fall in love with the books too! nice attractive color, cute and funny! ian loves the bedtime stories, always asking me to repeat. ian has other favourite bedtime stories too...uhmm...not exactly stories, he's more keen to tell me the name of the objects in the book, like trains, cars, truck, helicopter, all the names of the thomas train and friends like james, percy, mavis, gordon..etc...every night we read the same pages :D.

i'll be very happy if both my boys like to read books. i don't mind bringing them to library everyday, simply sit there and read. that way, not only they learn but i get to learn new things too. we don't have to watch tv all the time just to past time. went to the library with nathan today (i sneaked out & left ian with great-grandparents), saw this mommy was reading book to her son, so nice. i borrowed some chinese books for the first time, hope ian likes it :). i bought some new ones from the popular bookstore, going to stock up and fill my home with lots of books!!!
