hi all, here are some pictures of my future home....in its original state.
went to inspect our new home today to make sure owners have shifted out everything out of the house. going to collect house key tomorrow! oooh hoooo!!! pictures below are taken before they started shifting...(obviously)

this is the access balcony...going in now!!!

close up look at the dining area

taking from opposite angle, can you see that kitchen?

here's the living room :)

this is the balcony area, owner level up the floor! good!

kitchen....

this is the storeroom (that cream color folding door), left is kitchen...the original kitchen length was up to wall next to the cupboard...so...that storeroom supposed to be part of the kitchen originally...they shortened it.

study/bedroom

bedroom 2

master bedroom

master toilet, didn't show you picture of common toilet...not very nicely taken, too blur

nice cooling saturday night, family is having dry swimming session. my boys are sleeping early...hope jonathan won't wake up too soon...ooh hooo!!! what a rare night!!! freedom!!!! thank you Jesus!!!
sorry, not been very active in updating blog...having no. 3 drains whatever energy i have left at the end of day. not very shiok to go through all the night shifts :P anyway, let me share with you how's my new night shift been ok...i hope there's an improvement in jonathan's sleeping pattern...or the way i nurse him...haizzz!!!
when ian and nathan were babies, they woke up several times every night, but once i nurse them, they fall bk to sleep very fast, can't quite remember whether i need to burp them but i knew it's a quickie one, after 5 mins of nursing...and all i did is just dive to my cosy bed and continue my sleeping mission. but jonathan is different...each nursing session causes him lots of wind...need to burp many times. it's a tough job for middle of the night.
arghhhh!!!! after e 1st burp, i still gotta stay awake for 2nd burp. i am so scared that i might drop him half way while burping with my eyes closed...very sleepy.
very often, i put him down, and wait till he makes noise, sometimes wait till i dozed off, then got woken up again (that's the most tiring part, interrupted rest 真要命!!!)...crawl out of mattress, pick him up and try again...still cannot...put him down...and try again....then this fella, still sleep song song. sleeping makes burping harder. every night is like that....and that always last at least half an hour each session...and he wakes up 2-3 times.
but i'm still surviving very well...coz i still eat a lot. maybe should rename myself as bottomless yee. as i said, i still make conscious effort to not to eat too much...

mentioned about the sarong thingy? my in laws kept suggesting using sarong (yao lan) as jonathan kept waking up after putting him down on the cot....it's not tiring to carry a baby but definitely quite disruptive to whatever things i wanted to do. till yesterday, i felt so tired coz the moment i wanted to just lie down to rest, jonathan was up again and again. came out of the room, told jem..."i want to try sarong!"
and guess what...my mom in law went to amk to buy that sarong straight after work today. very fast action yeah! they're more excited than me. now...looking at the new item at home...i started to wonder...where to put it...gotta teach ian and nathan not to swing when jonathan is sleeping in it...and...will jonathan like it? won't know till i start to try tomorrow....
been staying with in laws for abt half a year? i must admit that they're very easy ppl to live with. this family has taught me a lot of good values...and i'm still trying and learning to exercise those values...some are very common sense you know...but to me, it wasn't till they put great emphasis on it...e.g.
1) greet each family member in the morning and when come back from work. i'm guilty of this coz i don't often greet, and worst still, there's a period of time i didn't even greet at all...so rude right...yeah...ian and nathan don't have the habit to greet coz i didn't really teach them, if they don't greet nevermind that kind. until i noticed my in laws kept asking them to greet them...it was then i realised it's important and now i'm making a conscious effort to make sure they greet. ian is easy, nathan is one tough nut. nathan greets most of the time, but if he doesn't feel like it, he die die won't greet no matter how much threats you gave him.
2) table manners...things like must sit down when eating, cannot kneel, cannot rest feet on table, cannot rest feet on the side of the chair (like ah beng), call each family member to eat before eating, better not to watch tv during meal time...etc. i'm all guilty of that...till now, when i feed ian and nathan until i feel like screaming, i started to rest my feet on the side of the chair, it's very 'unglam'
3) wash hands before and after meal, play, back from outside...again i'm guilty of that...every often i simply forget to make them clean their hands esp back from shopping...i mean...don't have that habit myself :P.
4) my mom in law is a very very hospitable person, a very good host. whenever there's guests, she'll make sure there's more than enough food, it must be present nicely, she won't leave leave food on the table and wait for her guests to serve themselves...but she serves them individually, whether they're genuinely full or shy, she still serve even if they say no, always make drinks first when guests come. and one more thing, she's always buy something before visiting somebody, whether her siblings or friends...never go empty handed.
mannn...this is one thing i'm struggling with. for me, if guests say no, i would not serve and will just let them serve themselves...uhmmm....probably i ended eating all their food if they don't eat...
if just talking about how good is she as a host and visitor...it's endless. something i'm trying to learn.
having said this, i do feel terrible at times...staying with this family makes me feel i'm very lousy and horrible person just because they're so good.
so in good times, life as per normal. i would tell myself, hey, this value/habit is good, must learn and do it.
when in bad times, when i feel i'm like the black sheep...i would either tell or sms jem..."move out quickly". leave the holy ground!!!
i don't know how to put this....it's...their way of living, the values they have...they didn't tell you outright "hey! you're wrong, you should do this and this"...their action is enough to put me to shame...as a daughter in law, grand daughter in law, a wife, a mother, a person. i always tell jem, if i can be like his mom, it would be nice.
if i'm like them...i'm very sure my boys will turn out to be good boys, as wonderful as their father :)
