this word "rapture" has been stuck with me for the past few weeks. ever since my sis in law, joyce gave some comments on this book "heaven is so real", she said sth that really crack me out "what if the moment when i want to hold my boyfriend's hand for the first time and rapture happen!!! no chance already lohhhh!!!" of course, after hearing her, it sets me thinking. i have this fear that rapture is going to happen anytime. uhm...should i called it fear? supposedly it's a joyous moment as Jesus will return and call up all His believers n be with Him forever, left with all the non-christians behind in the world and face the tribulation before end times. i gotta admit, i'm fearful!
I Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1. fear that my loved ones still not saved and they're left behind to face all the tribulation
2. fear the rise of anti-christ during that period and more suffering ahead
3. now that i have little ian, how old will ian be when rapture take place? will he be saved by then?
4. what if i'm left behind???
5. what am i doing here? still not telling ppl abt Christ!
it was raining early this morning, ard 2-3am++ i think, with thunder & lightning. i have been wondering when the Lord comes, will He sounds like thunder (i'm very scared of thunder sound). both me and ian were woken up by a loud thunder, ian was crying. i was so scared of that sound till i can't carry ian immediately, i'm too scared to move at that moment. call jem in (he's watching world cup final) for help. every thunder sound, makes me think is rapture taking place. will i see only ian's clothes...will i see only jem's clothes (if i see that, which means i'm left behind!!!). of course, rapture may not sound like thunder, it's just my imagination.
i always remember my aunt told me abt end times when i was in primary 6?? there will be wars, rumours of wars, 1/3 of animal left in the world during end times (think it's 1/3, anyway, all i know is a lot of animal will die). as i'm growing up, i see this happening...mad cow disease, bird flu...etc. why i can remember? i'm a meat lover mah!!! 1/3 left, which means i won't have meat to eat next time.
always full of guilt whenever i see ian...i want to tell him abt Jesus, praying that he will be saved at young age, reading him bible stories...not been consistent. the only thing which i have been doing is singing this song while bathing him. thank God he's pretty enjoying it.
come, now is the time to worship
come, now is the time to give your heart
come, just as you are to worship
come, just as you are before your God, come
chorus
one day every tongue will confess you are God
one day every knee will bow
still the greatest treasure remains for those who gladly choose you now.
the time is nigh!
