very happy yesterday :D. was out most of the time. attended church service in the morning, managed to listen 1 out of 3 points sermon. ps melvyn said "childlike faith people never give up praying" and he gave an example...whenever he's bringing his family out for meal, he always ask his daughters "where do you want to go for lunch?", and they always reply "mc donald!!!!"..of course, they don't always have their wish granted...but they never give up suggesting the same place over and over again. been praying for my family's salvation for at least 10 years, still no sign of improvement, feeling discouraged & even have doubts whether they ever will...but after this sermon, will continue to pray.
oh oh...i went j8 after that too, bought lots of things...all for ian. plastic bibs, bottle with straw, toothbrush, socks & 4 sets of flashcard. and guess what, my mother in law bought another 3 sets on the same day too...so 7 sets of flashcard altogether. i took out 1 set today, "ian, A for Apple, look!!! this apple is red in color, great-grandpa always makes apple stew for you!!! it's your favourite apple....". i never teach a kid, i wonder how to teach too...headache!
went 'ka sou' in amoy st for dinner, with jem's ex-colleagues, have good time catching up (not me, i'm too busy with ian, but still very happy! coz i'm out of home!), can't really eat in peace. he cried when see strangers, he get bored so fast that he started making noise, jem & i have to take turn to bring him out for a walk, he became excited and quiet the moment we're walking out of the restaurant! anyway, i have my reward :D...have my favourite oozy warm choc at tcc...very nice and relax environment, nice couch n jazzy music, ian loves it too, kept on jumping. oh i decided sth too, must bring him out more often!!!
does most new mothers look more radiant??? i've been wondering this for the longest time. a lot of ppl said i look better (ahem...), look more radiant, less tired look after giving birth to ian. if i've been sleeping without having to wake up x number of times at night for the past 7 months, have a love to sit still child, i may hv agreed to this...but ehhh...not true! my current new job as sahm is more physically challenging as compared to my previous jobs. ian should be 9kg by now, and still love to be carried ard and jumping. sometimes, i'm just amazed how i can carry him up n down, in and out for so long... supposed should look even worse...
anyway, i gave myself plenty of reasons...
1. God gives extra strength to all mommies, He knows being mommies are challenging, so He created women with this inner strength built-in somewhere, only manifested when needed.
2. simply love and indescribable joy for having my little ian.
3. i put on makeup nowadays...to cover my tired look as much as possible. u'll NEVER see me put on makeup whenever i'm out or working previously, and now i do, want to be a beautiful sahm mah!
4. helps from in laws, good food! so face and body more fleshy! *sigh*
5. dont know....
