post some pictures of my boys...a few only...haven't transfer the recent one to the comp yet...jonathan's face look a little rounder as compared to the pictures below.
my confinement period will end this 14 june...
i'm having a total different experience in my 3rd confinement...no complaints okie...just sharing with you what have i been doing lately.
first of all, i'm out almost half of my confinement period, hehe, it's not long, at most 3 hours. not deliberately, but it's necessary...gotta bring jonathan to see pd, gotta see gynae, we had our hdb appt, i still got to send ian to school for a week before his school term holiday started (he refused to let ah gong to send him to school). actually, quite a few people in bishan who once knew i was pregnant were shock to see i'm out of the house...
"you delivered already huh...can come out of the house?"
then i noticed people like to use "oh, you're the 'modern' type" to people who don't abide to confinement rules. my mom follows confinement rules thoroughly, kept calling me, advising me not to bathe for a month, and if i need to use water, must use cool boiled water...wahh!!! that was SO SO SO challenging loh! i wonder why must use cool boiled water! it is difficult to prepare, why? don't expect me to use cool boiled water to wash my boys' buttock when they poo, how about bathing the boys? use that water too? when the boys get dirty and need to clean them up? wow, that's a lot of boiling to do man!!!...must wear long pants, mustn't let wind blow my head, must eat confinement related food, must sit when drink water, must have a lot of bed rest....etc. i'm thankful for her care and concern, certain rules, i can follow but there are some thing i just couldn't follow.
it's insane not to bathe and wash my hair. singapore has been so hot and humid, i'm all sweaty and itchy the moment i get up from bed...don't say 1 month, 1 day i already cannot tahan not bathing! what's more, i'm breastfeeding jonathan, can you imagine the dirt, bacteria...etc i would pass on to my boys? i believe most of this rules are originated from china! kudos to moms who can do it, i raise my white flag!
i don't have special confinement food this time...but ah gong ah po's cooking is nutritious enough :) i always like their cooking. i have one singapore relative cook the black vinegar pig trotter twice, it's so yummy! no offence to my previous 2 lovely confinement ladies, i feel my relative's taste better :P
alright, i've been thinking about this....i have 3 boys now...no no no...4 boys...1 overgrown, 1 newborn and 2 growing boys...and soon we'll have a new home which bigger than previous one...i do have thoughts whether i can cope alone...1 is easy, 2 is ok...3? i still believe i can...coz we're very close to in law's place. but i think my family think i can't...uhmm...actually not so much whether i can or i can't, they're more worried about the 2 kor kor's safety might be compromised... ian and nathan have been very active, playing activities which we adult find is dangerous...when i'm nursing jonathan in the room, i can hear "ian!!! don't do this, don't jump, don't do that...etc...you never listen, so dangerous!...."...then recently, my mom in law's relative's helper been coming here to help me temporarily, to help wash my clothes and baby's as well as general cleaning at home. having an extra pair of eyes to keep watch my boys do make a difference...
but i still don't want a maid...
okie...going to watch tv now...my favourite 4:30pm taiwanese series :P
